    The Nine of Swords
This card shows someone sitting up in bed with their hands
over their eyes and nine swords behind them, but pointing
away. This card is associated with anxiety and worry and
although the swords are there to remind us of difficulties
faced, this is past trauma and if we can make sense of what
we've been through and have the courage to open our eyes and
look at where we're going, there will be a solution and a
way to move on, by learning from the past.

Key Words: No pain no gain, wisdom is the reward of facing up to the
    truth.
    The Moon
Major Arcana card 18, shows the moon lighting a path
through the unconscious, helping us to look deep within to
see where we're going. The howling dogs symbolise how
unnerving and destabilising this journey can be and often
comes when we're feeling emotionally wobbly or hormonal.
It's also associated with the star sign Cancer and the
female world of yin. This card indicates the need to do some
soul searching and possibly things aren't as they seem, it's
hard to see clearly by moonlight. People often ask
themselves 'am I being deluded, or deluding myself?' and
there can be hidden dangers or manoeuvring behind the
scenes, if you're the victim of gossip, manipulation or
jealousy, try to bring things out into the open.

Key Words: Don't be scared to confront your fears.
    The Four of Cups
This card shows someone sitting under a tree with three
cups standing in front of them. A magical hand is offering a
fourth cup, but the person has their arms folded and isn't
taking it. This often indicates that either they're not
taking what's being offered, which might be a missed
opportunity or the cup's being offered to someone else who
doesn't see the good in it. Sometimes there's the feeling of
not capitalising on an opportunity or having missed out,
beware of holding grudges, since they only weaken our
position. If this is an emotional decision then maybe there
are commitment problems on one or both sides. The people
involved need to trust, ground their fears and understand
that stability isn't entrapment, try to look for the things
that bring joy and commit to finding happiness and
    fulfilment.

Key Words: Doing nothing will lead to stalemate.
    The Wheel of Fortune
This Major Arcana card number10 signifies the opportunity
to make big changes in our lives. The words Taro, Tora and
Rota, are in the wheel. If we have faith to take the
initiative and move things on, then fate or destiny will
help us to turn lifes difficulties into challenge. It's not
so much what happens to you, but what you do with what
    happens.

Key Words: Be pro active and adapt, to get the best out of life.

    The High Priestess
The picture on this Major Arcana card shows the High
Priestess sitting guarding the entrance to Solomon's Temple-
The Temple of Wisdom. On either side of her are the Pillars,
which hold the world together, one is white and one is
black, showing the duality of life, life is a mixed bag of
good and bad and it is through facing and getting through
difficulties, that we gain strength and wisdom. She is the
guardian of the Mysteries and respects the mind, body and
soul, totally in tune with her inner self, she uses her
spiritual understanding to follow her instinct. If you ask
yourself who you are and what you want, you'll know the
answer, but you must be ready to hear it! This card which is
number 2, represents a time when you must trust your
intuition to go with your gut feeling, think what is your
overriding reaction and trust you know and have faith in
yourself. This could also be a time of duality, possibly
spending time between two places or choosing a new path, but
just remember, this person has the Moon at their feet and
knows how to use their inner sense of self and
understanding, to manifest what they want from the heart. Be
wise, accept yourself and others the way they are, and be
    true to yourself.

Key Words: Be wise and true to yourself.

    The Knight of Wands
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. Knight's
are associated with passion for new relationships and
ventures, good at taking action, but often breaking the
rules! This fire driven Knight of Wands is a bit love 'em
and leave 'em, the sexy bad boy or girl! Loving the chase
and the challenge, charging in and out, they don't always
complete what they set out to do. Preferring not to commit
or know what they're doing in the future, freedom and
flexibility are the keys to their heart. In both
relationships and projects there's a lot of energy flying
around, but it needs to be properly chanelled. This card can
indicate foreign travel, emigration, overseas admirers, or
visitors. Exciting, passionate and potentially explosive,
remember in emotional situations playing with fire might get
your fingers burnt! Innovative, inspirational and exciting
to be with, they can be a bit selfish and won't stick around
    if things get boring.

Key Words: Fiery, impetuous and unpredictable.
    The Eight of Pentacles
This card shows us an apprentice with six pentacles or
coins pinned up and finished with two more to go. As such it
is the card of work in progress, they're three quarters of
the way there and have just a bit further to go. Like a
hamster on a wheel, they keep their head down trying to
refine their craft, it feels like slow progress, but they'll
get there in the end as long as they stay with it. In our
emotional life this card can show someone retreating into
their work for safety, in which case there's a need to come
off the wheel and raise their head above the parapet, before
    stagnation sets in.

Key Words: All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.
    The King of Pentacles
Court cards represent personalities of any age or sex,
being both aspects of ourselves and people in our life.
Kings are based in the element of air (Swords), driven by
thought and intellect, but as a Pentacle this one likes the
established material world of financial security. Often in
property, accounting, banking, insurance or anything that's
stable consistent and lucrative, they work hard in a
practical methodical way. Preferring to follow rules and
structures, this sometimes leads to stagnation. Being risk
averse and not naturally adventurous, they enjoy their
creature comforts! Usually responsible, with a strong sense
of moral duty, they strive to put down roots and be
respected pillars of society. They're dependable partners
who are loyal to their friends and family, but can be black
    and white in their judgements.

Key Words: Secure, realistic and dependable.
    The Four of Swords
The card shows a soldier lying in top of a tomb, with three
swords above him and one under, running along his spine, in
the direction of his kundalini or life force. The four is
when the triangle turns into a square and is associated with
thinking things through, gathering thoughts and grounding
energy. Life is going on outside, but this is about
withdrawing to make careful, realistic plans, which might
mean taking time out to choose the right path, by taking our
own council and not necessarily sharing these thoughts with
others. Sometimes the timing involved will mean holding off
on a decision, to lay the right foundations, but don't spend
too long thinking or stagnation could set in.

Key Words: Create the space to work out what you really want.
    The Queen of Swords
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. All
Queens are based in the Cup suit [water/emotion], but being
a Sword [air/intellect], her predominant logical way of
thinking, suppresses her emotion and separates her head from
her heart! This Queen of Sorrow has often experienced
divorce, separation, bereavement or disappointment. However,
out of this she learns to face the truth, confront her
fears, be brave and apply wisdom to the heart. They see all
sides of a situation and by being factual bring order to
chaos. Sometimes they can be harsh and critical, but this
person gives good advise, tells it as it is and delivers
what they set out to do. Preferring to face issues face on,
they hate hypocrisy, straight talking; this person's word
carries weight and her heart has no room for excess
    baggage.

Key Words: Truthful, disciplined, detached, determined and effective.
    The Page of Cups
As a court card this is either about an aspect of you or
about someone in your life. All Court cards show us clear
chacteristics and these include both the positive and
negative sides of any personality, I will describe these
people to you to help you identify who this is. Pages are
often associated with young people, but I like to say they
have a youthful energy about them and can be any age or any
sex. As a Cup, this Page might be feeling like a lovesick
teenager, with emotions flooding in. They can be innocent
and idealistic, a dreamer who believes in perfect love and
is sensitive to the needs of others, but can also be easily
hurt. They can try to put people on pedestals, if this is
you are you feeling dreamy and in love, or are you just
being a bit naïve? This card represents living and breathing
love, being romantic and holding out for your true soul
    mate.

Key Words: Poetic, sensitive and unrealistic, but believes in true
    love.
    The Six of Wands
This card shows someone proudly riding their horse crowned
with laurels and holding the wreath of success pinned on
their baton, it's associated with being acknowledged for our
efforts and is often called the card of graduation or
promotion, showing the approval our peers. This success and
acknowledgment can also come from friends, family and loved
ones. It's a card of both self-esteem and commanding
    respect, both personally and professionally.

Key Words: Be confident and accept the recognition you deserve.

    The Three of Pentacles
The 4 Minor Suits, Swords, Cups, Wands and Pentacles, are
numbered 1-10 and combine their element with numerology.
This 3/triangle in the Pentacle (Earth) is a solid base to
build on. The card shows an architect with plans, an artisan
carrying out the work and a monk representing financial
knowledge and accountability, they're working together
investing in the future. Signifying property, home
improvements, business or anything that requires practical
preparation and collaboration. It comes when making material
plans for the future in partnership. This venture has firm
foundations and should be a sound investment, trust in what
will be for a positive outcome and make it happen.

Key Words: Build on a basis of prudence, faith and confidence.

    Temperance
Major Arcana card number 14 shows an angel pouring water
from one cup to another over her heart, she has one foot in
the water, or feelings and the other earthed in reality.
This card is all about shutting down the fight or flight
mechanism and cooling the fire of the heart, but staying
present in the emotion. Time will work in your favour if you
are patient. Let others around you reveal their intention
and make the running, then you'll be in a better position to
make informed decisions from a balanced point of view. Stay
calm, keep your options open and don't waste your energy,
but learn to use it to its maximum effectiveness.

Key Words: Hold back and observe.
    The Queen of Pentacles
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. This
Queen of Hearth and Home is practical, wanting to make
everyone comfortable and secure. Being both nurturing and
caring, they also need to be needed and can be possessive
and over protective! A bit of a desperate housewife who's
prone to taking over peoples responsibilities and then being
a martyr, having made them dependent. Her talents are
everything to do with the home, interior design and the
caring professions. In fact, anything that requires a
practical brain and common sense, as well as, proper payment
for the job in hand. This is the perfect wife, mother, and
homemaker with the deeds to the house!

Key Words: Orderly, capable and careful.
    The Star
Major Arcana card 17 shows a naked woman pouring water into
a lake and represents honesty and truth, the flowing water
is the energy of life, from which we can nurture, fertilise
and flourish. In the sky 7 smaller stars symbolise the 7
days of the week and in the centre is the star of Venus. Out
of this Star of hope and light anything's possible, often
this card comes after a difficult time, however, there's the
possibility of a wish come true. It shows the need to take
action and follow a dream, if we're optimistic and believe,
this can have a very happy ending. Bright prospects are
ahead if you have faith in the future.

Key Words: Believe and have faith in a positive future.
    The Three of Swords
The 4 Minor Suits, Swords, Cups, Wands and Pentacles, are
numbered 1-10 and combine their element with numerology. The
number 3 signifies the mind, body and spirit, from the base
of this triangle we can start to build and observe the
choices that have been made. This card shows a heart with
three swords through it, which people often associate with
heartbreak! It doesnt have to be this way, but it's probably
beyond the comfort zone. When needs and expectations aren't
being met, the best way to cope is to accept things the way
they are and face the truth. Often the words; absence, delay
and separation accompany this card or a position that in the
heart you would prefer not to find yourself in. If you're
realistic, manage to keep your head and work things out from
a logical point of view; you can come out a stronger person.
Let go of the need to control and try not to sabotage the
chance of success by allowing negative thoughts to crowd out
the positive ones. Actively switch off the anxiety switch to
maximise a positive outcome, even if this means waiting or
putting certain plans on hold, be mature and confident.

Key Words: Bring wisdom to the heart.
    The Five of Pentacles
This card shows two beggars out in the cold looking down
and not noticing the lit church window above them. They feel
left out in the cold, excluded from society or even a bit
impoverished. The number five often has a pessimistic side
to it and maybe they're not looking at the opportunities
that might be very close to them. There's a need to look at
the situation differently and they might find they're not as
badly off as they feel. Friends and financial support are
there, but there's a need to make some adjustments to their
way of thinking to capitalise on what they have and make the
    most of what's available.

Key Words: Let go of the loss for better things to fill the space.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    The Page of Swords
As a court card this is either about an aspect of you or
about someone in your life. All Court cards show us clear
chacteristics and these include both the positive and
negative sides of any personality, I will describe these
people to you to help you identify who this is. Pages are
often associated with young people, but I like to say they
have a youthful energy about them and can be any age or any
sex. As a sword this is the most rigid of the pages the card
shows a person high on a hill with a raised Sword assessing
their options in a clinical logical manner. This person will
seize any opportunity that life offers them and uses their
wit and cunning to plan a strategy that will get them where
they want to go. If this is you are you objectively
analysing the options that lie before you. If you are
embarking on a new venture take a look around and then take
decisive action, but think first. Whether this is you or
someone in your life, they can be good at manipulating
things to their own ends, as well as a master of spin. This
Page might mask their insecurity with aggression and doesn't
like to have their opinions challenged, in relationships
this is the slightly selfish opportunist. Think of teenagers
finding their way in the world and thinking they know all
    the answers!

Key Words: Cool, calculating and ready to seize any opportunity.
    Seven of Wands
This card shows a man on top of a hill with a baton in his
hand holding off six batons attacking him. This is when we
feel under pressure and have a lot of different issues to
deal with. Although we have the advantage of being on higher
ground, we must deal with the issues one at a time or we'll
lose this position. The tasks at hand must be dealt with in
an organised way and we can't allow ourselves to be
sidetracked, we have to sort out what needs to be done,
whether it applies to our personal or professional life.

Key Words: Complete each task before moving onto the next and
    delegate.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    The Lovers
This Major Arcana card shows the innocent Adam and Eve
before the bite of the apple, Venus the goddess of love is
over their heads as well as angel wings which show a divine
intervention that influences a choice. The Lovers number 6,
connects heaven and earth through love and in a general
position, isn't just about love matches, but all
relationship and emotional choices. This card usually comes
when a decision has to be made, this could be a crossroads
and you have to consider whether this is a balanced
decision. If you're doing this in a time of emotional upset,
be careful, you need to be ready to accept what you will
face and learn from the experience, whatever might happen.
If you can open your heart and receive the inspiration or
divine guidance, which is there to help you, you should be
able to create, both inner and outer harmony.

Key Words: Trust in love to make the right emotional choice.
    The Page of Wands
All court cards represent both the positive and negative
sides of personalities and have certain characteristics,
regardless of age or sex. The Pages are often associated
with young people, but it's more about their youthful
energy. Driven by fire, this one's enthusiastically looking
to the tip of their wand for inspiration. They're curious,
eager to explore and try anything new, but they might need
to focus to follow through, otherwise it can be an idea a
minute! Think of this Page as the most
disruptive/hyperactive person in a classroom, or a time to
go back to the drawing board to find a new career or
interest. In relationships this person will need a bit of
grounding and learn to listen to others needs, especially
since like all Wands they can be a bit selfish!

Key Words: Be creative and innovative, follow your inspiration.
    The Nine of Pentacles
This is a lovely card showing a person in a beautiful
garden, where everything looks lush and bountiful. This
symbolises bearing the fruits of our success and reaping the
benefits of past efforts. Sometimes, this card is associated
with inheritance or unearned income and it can be a card of
bonus or even voluntary redundancy. This materialisation or
reward, often comes after we've taken care of our
responsibilities and nurtured those around us.

Key Words: Be materially and spiritually generous to reap as you sow.
    The Five of Swords
This card shows a successful fighter, with two defeated
people retreating in the background. He is holding three
swords and another two are lying on the ground. At the five
level we often have to tear things apart, but this card
advises us to be careful not to take success for granted.
Tie up the lose ends, look at the small print, be careful,
since things could become unravelled. If we're over
confident there might be people out there ready to stab us
in the back, if they're given the opportunity. We also
should be careful in how we judge others; if there's anger
don't be vindictive or selfish, since this will leave us
vulnerable to attack or finding ourselves being judged in
the future. If there's nothing nice to be said about people
in our lives, it would be wiser to say nothing at all. Be
aware that the more competitive element of life brings us
    closer to betrayal.

Key Words: Don't take things at face value.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    The Three of Cups
The 4 Minor Suits, Swords, Cups, Wands and Pentacles, are
numbered 1-10 and combine their element with numerology. The
number 3 signifies the mind, body and spirit, from the base
of this triangle we can start to build and observe the
choices that have been made. This card shows a lovely
picture of three women dancing with cups raised in
celebration, often signifying future marriage, fertility,
reconciliation and sharing happiness. At the three level an
emotional choice has been made and there's cause for
celebration, this is the moment to bring love, fulfilment
and joy to life. Only by unlocking the heart and offering to
share, can we be in a position to receive and feel a true
    emotional connection.

Key Words: Share the joy and celebrate.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    The Three of Wands
This card shows Moses looking out overseas to plan the
future, we often call it the card of The Exodus, in today's
terms this would indicate an expansion of ideas and
horizons, it's often associated with going further afield,
re locating, sometimes overseas and opportunities to travel.
Jupiter rules the threes and they have a strong creative
element and represent primary achievements, but remember
planning and communication are vital, as well as laying good
foundations for future success. Try and open up to new
possibilities and find inventive ways to make life more
    exciting and exhilarating.

Key Words: Open new doors, set goals and go for it.
    The King of Cups
Court cards represent personalities of any age or sex,
being both aspects of ourselves and people in our life.
Kings are based in the element of air [Swords], driven by
thought and intellect, but as an emotional Cup this one
feels all at sea and a bit wobbly! Being both sensitive and
caring and wanting control, you don't always know where you
are with them, but neither do they! Their mood swings bring
uncertainty to relationships and they might have some
emotional baggage, but they do care. Striving for perfection
they hate disapproval and because of their strengths and
weaknesses, life can be a bit of a struggle. A bit sink or
swim, they can catch the tide or end up floundering on the
beach. Soft and vulnerable, they often lose their confidence
and worry about dragging others down with them. This
artistic temperament is very lovable, but also frustrating.

Key Words: Compassionate, sentimental and unstable.
    The Knight of Swords
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. Knight's
are associated with passion for new relationships and
ventures, good at taking action, but often breaking the
rules! Riding the fastest horse this Knight's associated
with taking calculated risks. Rushing at high speed, with
the Sword of Truth raised, this can be a fight or flight
situation and there might be some conflict on the way. If
immediate action isn't taken they might lose their nerve and
fall off. The key here is to manage risk and minimise
the impact of failure, by having no doubt that the right
decision has been made. Be prepared to rush at what you want
or be swept off your feet.

Key Words: Impatient, impulsive, headstrong and intolerant, go for it!
    The World
Arguably the best is left to last, Major Arcana card 21
shows a woman in the centre, with a wreath around her and
the astrological symbols in each corner. The bull, for
Taurus and earth, a lion, for the fire sign of Leo, an angel
for the air sign Aquarius and an eagle for the water sign of
Scorpio. This card symbolises fulfilment, completion, unity
and balance, finally being in the centre of our world, the
pieces of the puzzle of life make sense. The wreath of
success symbolises the integration of self knowledge and
enlightenment. This card comes when we can see how to reach
life's goals and a time of great joy and fulfillment.

Key Words: Be at one with yourself and the world.

    Strength
The picture on this Major Arcana card is of a woman either
closing or opening a lion's mouth and it tells us that the
gentler approach will be more effective. By approaching the
lion or stronger ego from the side, you can avoid
confrontation and communicate your point of view. Whether
this is a personal relationship or in the work place,
persuasion and compromise will win through, sometimes this
card advises the technique of suggestion and then making the
person think they had the idea. In the work place this card
often comes when your efforts haven't been recognised or
ideas have not been listened to, you should get the
opportunity to discuss your feelings; but try to do this by
taking on board the way the listener will be able to hear
what you're saying. Don't aggravate things, express yourself
by using your skills to diffuse, rather than ignite
    situations.

Key Words: Try to communicate from a place of peace.
    Death
This Major Arcana card is probably the most feared and
often misunderstood, yes this may well be a big issue, but
this card shows a natural or organic change needs to happen.
In a field to allow a new crop to come through, something
needs to die to make room for it. This card shows that you
need to go ahead, if you stand still you might be left
behind, you have probably outgrown your present situation
and you must allow a transformation or re birth to take
place, since you're probably on the threshold between the
old and the new. Depending on the future and past cards,
this can signify anything from a change in job, house, and
country and, of course, a change of relationship. It rarely
means death, as in mortality, since obviously you only die
once. If the card comes with other cards showing anxiety,
worry, bereavement or even unforeseen catastrophe, in
certain positions surrounding you, then this could be a
possibility for you or someone close to you.

Key Words: Don't be scared to end things to make room for new growth.
    The Empress
This Major Arcana card shows The Empress sitting on a
throne, wearing a crown of 12 Stars, representing the
astrological symbols and there are 7 planets in the necklace
around her neck, corn, the symbol of life is growing at her
feet. As the mother of the pack she stands for love, warmth
and devotion and gives unconditional love. This card could
be associated with issues to do with motherhood, or even
your own mother. The Empress also represents fertility, not
just children, but also of ideas and projects, which
sometimes take 9 months from the period of gestation to give
birth to, she brings things to fruition through orderly,
progressive action and the giving and receiving of love; to
give love you must feel love and love yourself.

    Key Words: Open your heart.

    The Tower
Major Arcana card 16, has a frightening image of a tower
being struck by lightning with people falling through the
air, often foretelling and unforeseen catastrophe. Out of
this, comes the opportunity for a better, stronger re build.
If this Tower has been built on the wrong foundations, then
the higher we go the further we fall. If there's a lot
invested in what we've been building, even when we know it's
wrong, we stay with it hoping it will be alright in the end.
This card may represent a nasty shock and whatever follows
can be frustrating, but the good news is it usually passes
quite quickly, since it wasn't built to last. If it's a
house move, then it can come at the wrong time or be
troublesome, remember it's better done sooner than later. If
this signifies a work or relationship break up, assess what
was fundamentally wrong and if you want to put it right,
change the bits that couldn't work the way they were, look
    for the truth.

Key Words: Examine the foundations, before things fall apart!

    The Four of Pentacles
This card shows someone sitting with one pentacle or coin
covering their chest, one above their head and one under
each foot. In other words they're hanging on to what they've
got and don't want to let go of anything. It can mean saving
up to buy or put a deposit on something for the future,
which involves not spending and cutting down on holidays or
travel, or looking into finances and being realistic. Maybe
they're trying to be sensible with energy and not do too
much. Just be aware that this can lead to stagnation, since
the 4 represents the square and the Pentacle is the element
of earth, so it's good to be cautious, but don't sit in this
position for too long, action will need to be taken sooner
or later, or life will be too routine or dull.

Key Words: Don't get stuck in the comfort zone.

    The Queen of Cups
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. All
Queens are based in the Cup suit [water/emotion] hence this
is the archetypal one. She represents the nurturing, caring,
gentle side of life and sits on an island surrounded by
water, which the cloak shes wearing merges with. This person
gives unconditional love and support to everyone, but should
be careful not to lose their own identity, by living life
through others. Often this card shows us the ideal mother or
partner, who is emotionally secure and stable, but might
find it hard to say no. Their natural sense of purpose is to
    give and feel valued.

Key Words: Loving, trusting and kind.
    The Hanged Man
This Major Arcana card comes when we reach a crossroads in
life, the number 12 is associated with the 12 months of the
year, the signs of the Zodiac, as well as the 12 hours of
day and night. This card signifies that we need to make a
sacrifice or let go of something to transform and move into
the next phase of our lives. The picture on the card is of
someone suspended upside down hanging by one foot, this
shows an unwillingness to step into the future and there's a
need to sacrifice old attachments. You probably need to let
go of some security or money, but by doing this your long
term future will be better. Maybe you just need to let go of
some of your old values, if you turn things around or on
their head, you'll see that this shift of alignment will
enable you to change a situation that you might feel locked
into. Remember suspension is the symbol of unfulfilled
longing, are you nurturing unrealistically high ideals, if
so, let go and set yourself, your ego and your expectations
    free.

Key Words: Let go of your personal expectations.
    The Magician
This Major Arcana card shows a Magician with one arm raised
towards the sky or heavens and one pointing down into the
earth. This is an alchemist or conductor of energy, who
takes the power or energy from above and roots it down into
the ground, manifesting it into the material world. On the
table next to him are all the tools or elements, which he
knows how to use. This is card number 1 and it represents
the ability to start and make things happen. If you are The
Magician, then you are able to make things work the way you
want them to and be a bit of a super hero. If this card
represents someone else then they are able to get things
done, but be careful in any dealings you have with them,
because if you hand your power to this person, they could
also abuse it, not necessarily because they set out to, but
just because they can. If you need to use some manipulation
to get things working the way you want them to, then this
might be the best way to proceed.

Key Words: Use all your skills.
    The Page of Pentacles
    Court cards have clear characteristics and personalities;
they're either an aspect of us or someone in our life. Pages
are often associated with young people, but I prefer to say
that having a youthful energy, they can be any age or sex.
Since both the pentacle and pages are based in the element
of earth, this is the archetypal page, reliable hard working
and studious, often signifying either studying or increasing
skills. This card indicates a period of examination to get
better results, but this person must apply all that
knowledge or they could be the eternal student!

Key Words: Study, examination and diligence.
    The Ten of Wands
On this card is a figure carrying ten wands to a village in
the distance, but they are so overburdened they can't see
where they are going and are in danger of walking straight
past it. This can be the perfectionist who carries the load,
but sets new goals as soon as they've got where they were
going and forget to enjoy the moment. Being driven by fire
there will be success, but they should remember take time to
sit down and not overwork or they could develop a stress
related problem, such as backache! The number ten is the
completion of a task within itself.

Key Words: Set and complete goals, but don't become obsessive.
    The Queen of Wands
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. All
Queens are based in the Cup suit (water/emotion), however
being a Wand this one's fiery and independent, don't expect
any tea and sympathy! This is my favourite headmistress who
wants to teach the world to stand on its own two feet, best
left in charge they like to help those, who help themselves.
All Wands can be selfish and impatient of what they see as
needy/weak personalities, they don't need anyone, which can
be intimidating to their partners. This Queen runs with the
ball, follows her great intuition and comes up with both
effective ideas and creative solutions, but has a short
fuse, especially if you get in the way of her work or
    plans.

Key Words: Authoritative, competitive, dynamic and bossy.
    The Ten of Pentacles
This card shows a family of three generations, surrounded
by abundance and financial security, symbolising a time when
plans of a practical nature can be taken be completed.
Responsibility to family and society can be taken care of
and this symbolises a period of financial prosperity, when
money can be wisely used. It's time to focus on
materialising what's needed and if we're unable to make this
happen, then we should seek the assistance of someone who
    can.

Key Words: Focus on generating the money and resources needed, to take
    care of your responsibilities.
    Seven of Pentacles
This card shows someone discontentedly leaning on their
spade. They've dug the ground, but are waiting for the
harvest. It symbolises time and energy spent investing in
the future and then waiting for the results? We often say
that with this card everything blooms and comes through
almost as we're ready to give up! Stick with it, but be
prepared, sometimes timing wise this project could take
seven months or come through in the month of July. As long
as the preparation is done properly we'll reap the rewards.
Relationships as well as careers are hard work and often it
takes that bit of extra effort before we see the break
    through.

Key Words: Do due diligence, leave no stone unturned and your efforts
    will be fruitful.

    The Ace of Wands
The Ace number 1 is the brand new beginning and the Wand in
tarot represents the element of fire. The picture on the
card looks like a large torch, which is ready to be lit.
This is about having the power to create and rule life in a
new way and this might involve a new venture or project. It
can also symbolise fertility and birth, think of the Sun's
rays on a seed. It's a very dynamic situation and the
inspiration should be followed to move forward with full on
energy, because potentially this is the beginning of an
exciting time. Just remember nothing ventured nothing
gained, the only way to fail is not to get started!

Key Words: Be creative and work with passion to get things started.
    Seven of Cups
This card shows seven cups filled with different
possibilities all up in the air in a dreamlike state and a
person contemplating the various options. The spiritual
number seven has a magical quality, from which we feel
anything is possible. We need to decide what we want to
ground or we'll be left floating in the air with the cups.
It often symbolises putting one egg in each basket, because
we're fearful of having too high expectations and worry
they'll be smashed. We need to choose a cup, whether it's
wealth, passion, spirituality, love or the unknown, we must
try to believe in the dream, in order to get closer to
    making it happen.

Key Words: Make dreams a reality, by committing to believing in a
    positive outcome.
    The Five of Cups
Mars rules 5's and in the Cup[water] we're emotionally
challenged. This card looks rather sad with a person in a
black cloak looking at three spilt cups, with two standing
behind him. There's an underlying emotional pessimism to
this card and a need to look at the cup half full rather
than half empty. This person's emotional life might not be
perfect, more likely disappointing and there could be some
depression, there's a need to look at what they have, rather
than what they haven't got, then they'll realise things
aren't as bad as they could be. Sometimes this card comes
when a relationship hasn't come up to expectations or we
feel let down by friends or family. We're not alone, look at
the relationships that do work and try to accept the part of
the relationship we're in, that works, even though it might
not be exactly what we want. By changing the way we look at
things, we'll potentially change everything around us.

Key Words: Focus on what you want, not what you don't have, to
    appreciate what you already have.

    The Fool
This Major Arcana card, shows big changes in our lives and
is a brand new beginning, the picture is of a person high up
on top of a mountain peak, looking up not down, ready to
take the next step off the edge. The Fool has faith and
trusts in the universe; hopefully there is a tree there to
catch him! This card is the number 0 and is not bound by
fear or reason, because it represents the urge in us to take
risks, follow our instincts and do something without
constraints or careful analysis. Not knowing where this
might lead, there maybe an element of foolishness in taking
this action, but if this isn't done, then nothing will
change and stagnation could set in. The Fool comes at a
time, when there are new opportunities and a chance to let
go of attachments and opinions of what should be. In order
to trust and take a leap of faith, you need to let go, of
the need to know all the answers, let go of the fears and
attachment to other people's opinions and finally to let go
of your expectations of what will be. You will always regret
what you didn't do, more than what you did do. If things
don't work out how you wanted them to, then look for the
lesson to be learnt from the experience and move forward in
    a different way.

    Key Words: Go for it.
    The Knight of Cups
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. Knight's
are associated with passion for new relationships and
ventures, good at taking action, but can break the rules!
This is my Knight in shining armour! Moving at a sensible
pace, holding the grail cup, ready to offer their heart and
follow an idealistic quest for perfection. It's very hard to
find any fault with this Knight, other than the tendency to
put people on pedestals, which inevitably they'll come off.
Often this card comes with an offer of love, marriage,
partnership or a job, depending on the type of reading and
    position of the card.

Key Words: Romantic, charming and caring.
    The Ace of Swords
The 4 Minor Suits, Swords, Cups, Wands and Pentacles, are
numbered 1-10 and combine their element with numerology,
number 1 being the new beginning. As one of the most
powerful cards in the Tarot deck, this Ace signifies the
initial force of the thought process through the power of
the mind. The Sword represents the element of air
[intellect] showing that the truth should be faced, by
focussing rationally and positively. This might involve a
cull, when negative people or things have to be cut out, but
this should be done with wisdom. To transform our lives we
need to open our eyes and look at what we believe in, by
being honest and having the courage of our convictions. The
power to be happy and successful is in our hands; don't be
scared to take responsibility for yourself.

Key Words: Use integrity and truth to be clear in your intention.

    Justice
This Major Arcana card number 11 often comes when we are
trying to find a balance in our life. The picture shows
someone in powerful red robes, holding a set of scales in
one hand and the sword of truth in the other. Justice is
only possible, if we are able to respect fairness and use
mercy, to balance any severity in the judgments we make.
This card also indicates legal issues; usually marriage,
divorce, buying and selling property, contracts, as well as
people in the legal profession. If there's litigation I am
often asked will I win? I always answer that justice will be
done in an objective impartial manner; however probably both
sides think they're right! To find the truth of a situation,
logic and reason needs to be balanced with compassion and
    fairness.

Key Words: Don't make unfair assumptions, seek the truth.
    The Six of Cups
This card shows two children playing in a garden surrounded
by flower filled cups. It's a nostalgic image and welcomes
us to embrace and reflect on the past, in order to move
forward into the future. Sometimes it symbolises
reconciliation or when there are things we need to discuss
with siblings or old friends. Often this card comes when we
are ready to move forward, but need to look back into our
emotional core, to see what we want to take with us into the
future. In relationships this can show a soul mate or being
very connected in a familiar way.

Key Words: Go back to your roots to know who you are and find where
    you want to go.
    The Two of Pentacles
The picture on this card is of someone juggling or
balancing two pentacles or coins. This signifies a time of
making choices between things, since there is nothing extra.
Money comes in and goes out and energy levels are a
balancing act of how to deal with the logistics of daily
life. The good news is they're coping, but it involves
keeping both balls in the air until the ship in the
background comes in. This card often comes when we're
‘treading water' weighing up the pros and cons of a
situation and could apply to whether to stick to a job and
work things through or change. Financially this card would
indicate it's better to wait until they're in a better
position and money might be tied up at the moment. If this
is a personal decision don't dull the senses and stagnate,
but work on trust and confidence.

Key Words: Keep going whilst finding the right time to move things on
    positively.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    Seven of Swords
This card shows someone stealing away like a thief in the
night holding five swords, but leaving two behind. It shows
us giving away our power and being a co dependent in
voluntary disempowerment. The person in the picture hopes
they will not be noticed, often symbolising our being taken
for granted by someone close to us. This is when we
volunteer to do things and then realise that what we're
giving isn't appreciated. We go that extra mile and get
exhausted, because we don't value ourselves, or our time
enough. This is an issue that will creep into all areas of
life but once recognised, we can be aware of the cycle. Be
careful with belongings and don't make it easy for someone
    to take what's yours.

Key Words: Start to adjust the boundaries or you'll only have yourself
    to blame.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    The Devil
This Major Arcana card shows two people chained at the neck
and there's a feeling of bondage attached to this card, the
chain is loose enough to slip out of, but they're in a,
can't live with, but can't live without situation. It's
better to be with someone who wants to be with you rather
than has to be with you, this could be a relationship
fuelled by drama. Sex can become an addiction, especially if
you are starving for love. If this is a bondage to
circumstances, then this could be driven by an inner
pressure to succeed and achieve. This demonic energy can
lead us into temptation, which could become both compulsive
and obsessive, all addictive behaviour is linked to the
Devil and this can also become an explosive, destructive
situation. The libido is a force of nature and the vitality
of this card is the basic fact of human nature. Use fire and
passion to achieve great results and although this might
take great effort, do be careful not to turn into a
workaholic. The Devil represents excess and depending how
you work with it, it can produce wonderful positive results,
just know when to back off, otherwise this can turn into a
pattern of addiction and suffering that could be hard to
    break.

Key Words: Follow your passion, but don't burn out.
To see this card's page at OK magazine, click here.
    The Hermit
This Major Arcana card number 9 shows a wise man in a grey
cloak with a lamp in his hand to light his way and a staff
to support him. By using the spirit and the intellect, the
Hermit turns inwards and understands that knowledge doesn't
lead us to ourselves, wisdom does. He is following the path
of self awareness to achieve what he wants. Usually this
card comes when we make a choice that we've thought long and
hard about, only by remaining true to your inner vision can
you reach your personal goal and live the life you want to
live. This might involve walking away from the way things
were, if they weren't satisfying you. It can also signify
you being on the right path for new ventures, projects and
    finding the partnership you wish.

Key Words: Use integrity and wisdom to be true to yourself.
    The Ace of Pentacles
This is often called the lucky card. The Ace or number 1 is
the brand new beginning and the Pentacle is the element of
earth [material world and money], often associated with a
new job, windfall or opportunity to make money. Many people
ask ‘will I win the lottery' I reply if they ask the
question, buy a ticket and get this card as the answer, then
they have a good chance! Remember winning the lottery isn't
everything, but having an exciting new financial opportunity
is. If this applies to ‘a missed chance', then it should be
re visited to be learned from and ready, when the next
‘lucky break' comes. Make it happen responsibly, the
Pentacle is also about responsibility towards society. It's
also associated with good health and this Ace could signify
a new surge of positive energy.

Key Words: Take a leap of faith and be confident of a positive result.

    The Nine of Cups
This card shows a corpulent happy bon viveur with eight
cups behind them, enjoying life and why not! We all need a
time to relax, but this could become a little superficial
and selfish, if we keep it up for too long or do it at
someone else's expense. Remember to find a balance and if
you haven't yet found someone to share your future with, or
found true happiness within, then you might want to do some
soul searching to decide who you really are and what you
truly want. Often in relationships this card shows that
maybe a lightness of touch is needed not to frighten people
    away.

Key Words: Live in the present and be around positive people.
    The Ten of Swords
This gruesome card shows a shrouded figure lying on the
ground with ten swords in their back. In some ways it's
similar to the Death card, but deals more closely with the
death of the ego, the relinquishing of control and the
resulting metamorphosis, which is rebirth. Imagine a
caterpillar shedding its chrysalis and emerging a beautiful
butterfly, then think of the worries and anxieties attached
to trying to keep control of life. Now let go of the
responsibility, tell yourself you have done your best and
what will be will be. If you're unable to let go of this
issue, then it will drain your energy and you'll become less
able to cope. If you feel betrayed or let down, tell
yourself you're not responsible for other people’s
behaviour, you can only control what you do. Only when you
fly free can you be happy and effective in your own life.

Key Words: Let go of the need to know and control other people's
    lives.
    The King of Wands
Court cards represent personalities of any age or sex,
being both aspects of ourselves and people in our life.
Kings are based in the element of air (Swords), driven by
thought and intellect. This King of Wands uses logic and
determination to finish the job. An inspired, freethinking,
independent entrepreneur, who's the very driving force in
any venture and loves autonomy! Energetic, thriving under
pressure, this enthusiastic leader can creatively think out
of the box, often breaking the rules. If you lock them in a
position, they'll become frustrated and angry fighting their
way out. Sometimes seeming tyrannical and selfish, this
comes from their innate self-confidence and drive. These
successful multi taskers, often have more than one career
and are better self employed, or left in charge of a team or
project. If things don't work as expected, they're able to
move on and re invent themselves, being good at starting and
finishing, rather than just talking. Exciting and passionate
about life, they're capable of having more than one serious
partnership or marriage and a colourful history!

Key Words: Competent, courageous and assertive.
    The Sun
This Major Arcana card; shows a bright sun and a child
riding a white horse away from a wall. It signifies the
ability within us, to emerge from the past unconscious
shadows of the Moon and ride into a conscious, outer life in
a purposeful way, to reach truth and happiness. The sun is
full of masculine yang energy, it has strong, powerful and
regenerating rays and this wonderful card often comes when
we can be our most effective. If we are optimistic and make
hay while the sun shines, we should attain a better life,
good health and lots of energy. This is when we can
materialise and make the most of our power and often produce
wealth and security. Enjoy this happy time, heal past
problems and use your abilities to create a stronger better
    future.

Key Words: Radiate confidence and stimulate action.
    The King of Swords
The court cards represent personalities of any age or sex
and can be both aspects of ourselves and people in our life.
Kings are based in the element of air (Swords), driven by
logic and intellect. The King of Swords is the archetypal
one, embodying wisdom, authority, powerful clear thinking
and problem solving. Raising their Sword of Truth they
fearlessly stand in judgement of themselves and others, this
can be tough love! Protecting and suppressing their heart to
have mental control, they forget emotions are feelings,
which won't flourish in these rigid domineering conditions!
All communication must come from a logical, factual, even
legalistic basis. They're not very touchy feely, sometimes
enjoying affection, but often locked in their head. If asked
do you love me the response could be well I'm here aren't I!
Romance isn't a priority, but loyalty, strength and truth
are. Approach them with deductive reasoning, but don't lose
your cool or you'll lose their respect.

Key Words: Controlling, rational, egotistical and arrogant.
    The Hierophant
This Major Arcana card shows a pope in an ecclesiastical
setting, sitting on a throne between two pillars, which
represent the negative and positive aspects of this world.
His one hand is raised to heaven and the other to earth and
this card teaches us that we are all responsible to both
    society and God or a higher spirit. This is card number 5;
standing for strength, power and justice and is telling us
to work with information and turn it into knowledge. In
order to gain spiritual wisdom, our insight must be
developed and learned. This means following a conventional
path and this card can be connected to partnerships, both
marital and in business, but they will be set up on correct
moral footings and each will take their responsibilities
seriously. The Hierophant often comes when moral judgments
are being made, have faith and take responsibility for your
actions. Think about the powers that be and doing things
    correctly!

Key Words: Use knowledge and try to be impeccable (without sin)!
    The Ace of Cups
This Ace number 1 represents the brand new beginning and
release of emotion [water]. The overflowing Cup has a white
dove above it, falling in love can bring tears of both
happiness and sadness. It's fear of rejection that stands in
our way, only by loving ourselves are we ready to give and
receive pure, enduring, unconditional love. This card is an
opportunity to open up to feelings, but don't be scared of
feeling vulnerable or exposed. If we can make others happy
    we'll be happy.

Key Words: Open the heart to feel love.

    The Two of Wands
This is a card of alternatives; the picture shows Alexander
the Great looking at a globe of the world, trying to decide
where to conquer next. At the two level there is a choice to
be made and it's in the area of the Wand [fire], this would
show inspired decisions to be made around career, work and
expanding our options. If someone's thinking of looking to
live or work further afield then this is a card of opening
up to wider possibilities, including re training and re
location, as well as overseas romance! They could be
thinking of doing something different, but should weigh
things up and be patient whilst planning the future.

Key Words: Explore the possibilities and be inspired.

    The Five of Wands
This card shows five people battling things out, fives are
associated with Mars and since the Wand is based in the
element of fire this is a battle we should win. If this is
about wanting to change jobs, we should compete for a better
life or if we're struggling to get plans through, we must
stay with it. These might be testing times, but we'll emerge
stronger and should be successful. If we don't get into the
middle and stand up for what we want, then we won't be
    entitled to expect positive results.

Key Words: Have courage, go into the middle of the ring to get ahead,
    compete to win.

    The Nine of Wands
This card shows the wounded healer, standing in front of
eight wands with the ninth in his hand ready to defend his
position. On the offensive, but at the same time defensive
he's fought to get where he is and doesn't want to give in
or compromise. Do be careful not to go around hitting
everyone on the head. We might still bear the scars of being
hurt and there's a need to stand our ground, not allowing
ourselves to be pushed around. However, we must identify the
people who are working against us and align with those who
can assist. Choose your battles carefully.

Key Words: Stand up for what you believe in, but don't over react.
    The Eight of Swords
The picture on this card is very disheartening. We see a
women bound and blindfolded, with eight swords around her.
Behind her in the distance is a castle, which she has
escaped from and she could walk away from the swords or
wriggle out of the ties, but it's her fear that holds her in
this position. This card shows a loss of confidence and
having been through some tough times. If the blindfold isn't
taken off they'll keep going round in circles, like the
figure of eight not getting anywhere and leading to
self-entrapment. This is the card of the victim only getting
weaker the longer they stay in this position, the only way
out is to walk or run towards the life they want to live and
the person they want to be, without fear.

Key Words: Self-pity and lack of self-esteem create the victim. Face
    the truth to be released.
    Judgement
This is the moment we've been waiting for, Major Arcana
card 20 shows an angel blowing a horn and it's the wake up
call. Underneath people are rising up out of their coffins,
which signifies spiritual re-birth, by both accepting and
acknowledging the past, we can discover a new awareness, to
move into a better future and new possibilities. Often this
card comes when we've heard the music loud and clear and we
experience a revelation or a new lease of life. It can apply
to relationships, career or a life changing self
realisation, just be sure of yourself, make a plan and set
your compass to where you want to go and follow it
    through.

Key Words: Trust your judgment to transform your life.

    The Six of Pentacles
The picture on this card is of a rich merchant giving money
to two poor people begging, in his hand is a set of scales
and they're perfectly balanced. This is the card of karma
and the cycle of giving and receiving or reciprocity, what
goes around comes around and now we can benefit from past
efforts. However, remember this is also about giving wisely
or we can end up with nothing, be generous, but don't
squander what you've earned. ‘Neither a lender nor borrower
be'. In both relationships and the workplace there is a
mutual need for an exchange of ideas, energy and material
goods. If we build a society fairly based on trust and
cooperation then we will flourish and have a better life.

Key Words: Sensibly share resources to generate wealth.
    The Eight of Cups
This card shows someone walking away from eight standing
cups; they have a staff to support them and the waning moon
lights their way. This shows the end of a cycle and it is
time to acknowledge, what we've loved and learned, to walk
with passion into a new phase. We might not know where this
will lead, but the old relationship will become stagnant and
redundant if we don't change direction. It's not about
sabotaging the past or creating a drama, but understanding
that things have to be done differently in our emotional
life. Love can be rekindled if new energy is brought in, or
walk away while you can still value what you had.

Key Words: Don't repeat old cycles, take responsibility and allow
    emotional freedom to flourish.
    The Knight of Pentacles
Court cards show us personalities of any age or sex, being
either aspects of ourselves or someone in our life. Knight's
are associated with passion for exciting ventures, but this
one's on the only horse which isn't moving and therefore,
best described as steady Eddy! The Pentacle or earth
steadies and grounds the fire of this Knight, who stands for
responsibility and accountability. They'll probably be
organising and planning, making sure they're in the black
not the red. Being responsible and dependable, they're often
in the professions of law, banking, accountancy and
property. You know where you are when dealing with this
Knight; they have their routines and don't like disruptions.
They take themselves seriously, like to earn the respect of
others and above all don't like taking risks. There might
not be lots of surprises in this relationship, but neither
are there too many nasty shocks! At work they're loyal,
diligent and dedicated to the job at hand.

Key Words: Reliable, steadfast and hard working.
    The Eight of Wands
This card shows eight wands in flight through the air; as
such it is often associated with news and messages winging
their way speedily, sometimes from overseas. Its lesser
meaning in general terms can be the arrows of love! If news
is expected, it should come quite quickly, Mercury ensures
that if things centred on communication need to be done,
now's the moment to get it out there. Text, telephone,
email, letter, whether this applies in our personal lives or
    the workplace, get moving.

Key Words: Haste, movement, speed, say the word to get ahead.
    The Six of Swords
The picture on this card is of a family in a boat coming
out of rough water on one side into smooth water on the
other. This is a card of consolidation, there are six swords
in the boat and they represent life's difficulties and
struggles. Now is the time to learn from the experience and
move forward with wisdom. This card often comes when we've
experienced difficulties and setbacks around the family, or
it can indicate travel, but a journey into calm waters and
an improvement of circumstances. Use logic and intelligence
to understand and absorb the lessons of the past.

Key Words: View past difficulties as a learning curve.
    The Two of Cups
The 4 Minor Suits, Swords (air), Cups (water), Wands (fire)
and Pentacles (earth), are numbered 1-10 combining their
element with numerology, with the number 2 offering choices.
This card shows two people facing one another in loving
harmony, each holding a cup as a sign of a deepening
relationship. The wings of divine guidance show they're
ready to open the heart and share. Cups are the element of
water (emotions) and these decisions should be based on what
they feel, rather than what they think they should do! This
emotional opportunity shows a relationship rooted in
friendship and it's from the experience of sharing, that
    love can flow.

Key Words: Make a choice to bring a loving friendship or partnership
    into your life.

    The Chariot
This card number 7 in the Major Arcana, signifies speed and
the domination of spirit over matter. It shows an armoured
charioteer, driving two black and white sphinxes, by
harnessing their opposing powers; he is able to balance two
sides of his life to get to his goal. If you're striving for
something, this card often leaves us feeling both
exhilarated and exhausted, it can be a card of duality; when
two parts of our life have to be kept apart, this can be the
home and work life or even two relationships. If you have
set your sights at something, make sure it's worthy of this
action, shoot for the moon and stars, which are on the
canopy above the Chariot and make sure you focus totally on
where you are going. This card represents the heroic quest,
which should bring the reward of triumph and victory, but
only if you get on board and follow through to the end, get
motivated and moving, push forward, but it might be a fast
    ride!

Key Words: Jump on board and strive for it.
    The Four of Wands
The happy couple are standing in front of secure home under
a bower or chupa, showing stability and achievement. This
card symbolises a time of materialising personal lives and
or career, this should be a time of securing what's wanted
and making a good basis for the future. It often signifies a
successful partnership, collaboration, or living together in
harmony, the chupa can signify marriage and if we're
changing our home or work this will work very well for our
future stability. The four or square works well to ground
the fire and creativity of the Wand, be confident and get on
with it, because together you're stronger than apart.

Key Words: Commit to a plan or course of action.

    The Emperor
This Major Arcana card shows The Emperor sitting on a stone
throne with Aries rams heads on it, wearing powerful red
robes over a suit of armour. A long grey beard shows his
wisdom and this person signifies rules and structures, which
are applied with knowledge and understanding. Knowledge is
power and power creates responsibility, this person might
seem armoured up against their emotions, but they stand for
the father of the pack, who is loyal but firm and wants you
to make conscious reasoned decisions. The Emperor gives wise
advice and has your best interests at heart and as card
number 4, it represents remoulding and building your life on
very solid foundations, rather like a square, try to assert
what you want. The Emperor can also signify fatherhood, your
father or someone who is or will be a powerful influence on
you, possibly older or they may seem older and more
responsible than you. This card stands for authority,
    security, conscientiousness, control and guidance.

Key Words: Be loyal but firm.
    The Two of Swords
Two's are the point at which we often have a choice or a
decision to make. The picture on this card shows a
blindfolded woman, with her arms folded across her heart
holding two swords, behind her is the sea and the crescent
moon is in the sky, she's trying very hard to tune into her
inner self to make a wise decision. Being a Sword card this
choice needs to be made on a logical basis, if she can use
her heart to give direction and her head to follow it, this
will help find the right balance. This card's about thinking
what do you value most? Find the truth, stop the ego from
complicating the situation and don't procrastinate once
you've worked out what to do. Only by finding a sense of
purpose will it be possible to achieve peace and harmony.

Key Words: Weigh up the situation logically, close your eyes and
    follow your intuition.

    The Ten of Cups
This is the card of complete happiness; there's a lovely
rainbow in the sky, with ten cups running through it.
Underneath are a family with two children playing looking
like the picture of security and fulfilment. This card
symbolises matters to do with family, commitment and
settling down. If we've met the right partner, then this is
the time to consider a future together. Or if it's connected
with family matters, then they're a source of unconditional
    love and support.

Key Words: Share your heart, to bring love and joy into your life.
